Paul specialises in business and management consultancy. Using his experience gained from the financial and banking sectors his friendly yet professional advice has helped many clients at all stages of their business.

Paul works hard to earn the clients trust and respect through friendly, professional and timely advice, in the words of one client.

Outside of work, Paul spends the majority of his time with his wife and two boys. His main interests are reading, and football.

Duane is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a Chartered Tax Adviser with nearly 30 years of experience in the profession.

Duane originally hails from the North East of England and came to Bristol aged 20 to continue in his accountancy career. Qualifying at the age of 24, he then founded PBTA in 2003.

Since that time, Duane has used his excellent technical knowledge and business experience to become a trusted advisor to our clients businesses.

Outside of work, Duane’s main loves are sport, cinema, good food and being fur daddy to the Keynsham office dog, Zaffi.

Faye qualified in May 2007 as a Fellow member of the Association Chartered Certified Accountants. Faye is Director of PBTA Hanham Ltd and helps her clients keep their finances on track as well as preparing and reviewing company accounts, VAT, CIS returns and advising on personal tax matters.

Faye is married to Mark and have three boys along with many rabbits, Guinea pigs, 3 cats, and 3 dogs. Faye enjoys dancing, going to concerts and watching football.

Wendy is based at the Hanham office and provides administrative support. She has a background of providing personal assistant support for over 15 years and enjoys meeting new people.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughters, long walks with her dog, socialising, travelling and caring for her 4 tortoises. She is also a voluntary counsellor.

Julie joined PBTA in November 2021 as an accounts assistant and is based in the Hanham office.

She provides support to the team by providing general bookkeeping services and accounting support.

Outside of work Julie loves travelling and her favourite holiday destination is Thailand. She enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved dog Yogi.

Mark looks after the payroll schemes and workplace pensions for PBTA’s business clients.

Mark has 18 years’ experience in this field and provides invaluable support to many companies and sole trade businesses who employ staff.

Mark spends his spare time helping to coach at a local football team where his children are players and helps with the inclusive group. In the spare time he has left he can be found walking his dog.

Caroline joined PBTA in November 2015 and is a qualified bookkeeper who looks after the bookkeeping and VAT returns for a wide base of clients.

She is married with two boys and 3 dogs and likes walking and gin.

Helen is based in the Hanham office and provides accounting and business support to a wide variety of businesses and is the in house Xero expert. During her time with PBTA Helen has helped many clients in taking their first steps into using cloud software.  Helen prepares Management Accounts, VAT Returns and Limited Company Accounts.

Helen enjoys socialising, reading and camping.  She also likes the odd glass of wine.

Fiona has worked in an accounts and financial role for around 21 years and really enjoys crunching numbers.

A busy mum of 2 children she loves spending time with family and friends.

Fiona is happy getting involved with the kids extra curricular activities, helping out at the cricket club and being the safeguarding officer and on the events committee at the rugby club but her most favourite thing is a cheeky afternoon nap!!

Anita joined PBTA in March 2017 and is based in the Hanham office.

She provides support to Faye and her team by preparing tax returns, annual accounts, rental property returns, Vat, CIS returns and general bookkeeping services.

Outside of work Anita spends time with her family, she loves read books, trekking and cooking.

Andy has worked at PBTA for 10 years and has a broad range of skills including payroll, VAT, accounts, personal returns etc. His most enjoyable part of the job is the client interaction and helping clients develop and maintain their businesses.

Andy is a family man with a lovely wife and two lovely daughters. He is a wine nut, mostly drinking, but also investing if finances allow.

Originally from Hungary and now living in Hanham for the past 5 years.

I love creating handmade crafts, travel and trying out new cuisines.

Zsofia joined PBTA in June 2024.

Joanna is  CIMA qualified and a registered Member in Practice (MIP).

Joanna is based at the Keynsham office and mainly prepares the accounts for Limited Companies.  She has worked as a management accountant and has much experience in both industry and practice.

Joanna moved to Hong Kong for 4 years after living in London where she completed her CIMA qualification.  She is now back in Somerset where she was born.

Joanna married a Yorkshire man in 2003 and now has three girls and a dog who keep her busy when not working.  Joanna enjoys running, walking, travelling and following sports such as athletics and Formula 1.

Joe joined PBTA in the summer of 2022 having previously worked in the finance team of a print marketing business. Joe also has a history of customer services roles within the automotive industry.

Joe is AAT qualified and was awarded MAAT upon completion of the final exam in 2022. Joe is studying to become a fully chartered accountant and PBTA are keen to support this development.

In his spare time Joe enjoys spending time with the family ( he has two young children) exercising and socialising, he is not very good at relaxing, much to his wife’s annoyance!

Peter is a Chartered Accountant who has been in public practice in and around Bristol either as a sole practitioner or a partner since 1980 having previously trained with a firm in Clifton, Bristol.

He has always been in general practice dealing with the accounts and taxation affairs of a wide range of businesses and personal tax affairs.

He came to live in Bristol when he was 21 and was there until 2001 when he moved with his wife Sue to live in a village near Chepstow in order to have more space in order to continue his main hobby of Hot-Air Ballooning.

Now in his late 70’s he is slowing down but continues to work from home and regularly comes to Bristol to visit clients and is a Trustee of a Charity which operates in Bristol working with disadvantaged young people.

Claire became a fully qualified member of AAT in May 2017. Claire prepares tax returns for sole traders and individuals, including capital gains for individuals with land and property.

Claire is passionate about music and enjoys playing the guitar and attending concerts.

Jendie joined PBTA in March 2022 as a general administrative assistant and is based in the Keynsham office.

She provides support to the team by providing general administrative services.

Outside of work Jendie loves painting canvases, looking after her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys going on walks in the countryside with a well-deserved glass of cider in the sunshine.

Enjoy spending my free time with my children, 2 amazing girls and a fur baby. Recently started running again and if I can squeeze in a social night out it’s a good week.

Lucy joined PBTA in the summer of 2024 as an Administrative Assistant.

Callum started work at PBTA Hanham in the summer of 2024 as a trainee.

Callum loves taking his dog Guinni ( named after his Dads favourite drink) for walks, he enjoys listening to music and is a keen gamer.

Nick is a Business Consultant  Bristol born bread and trained and an ex Partner of Bristol firm that became national.

He has always worked with a diverse range of businesses  including Property, Manufacturing , Wholesale etc mainly family based companies but including  Co-operatives specialising in  VAT and property development and can offer long term strategic planning for family businesses.

He has lived in Bristol most of his life and now lives on a mountain smallholding  in the Brecon Beacons with wife Kate, an aging Welsh terrier called Bryn, 50 Sheep, 4 Pigs and numerous chickens.

Hobbies include swimming when allowed, woodworking, Dry stone walling,  food and cider making.

Sam joined PBTA in the summer of 2020 bringing a background in business development, office management and a passion for excellent client service. She worked for Lloyds Bank for many years supporting both personal and business customers and is CeMap qualified. Her passions are people and process.

Out of work Sam has taken part in many local charity events including annual Race for Life 5km runs, the Bristol 10km, Cycle sportiffs, Two Sky Dives and a Triathlon. She is a busy Mum of two and loves walking, running, cycling, gym and spending time with family and friends. A footie fan and supporter of Forest Green Rovers FC.

Jenna joined PBTA in June 2022.

She provides support to the team with general bookkeeping skills and accounting and administrative support.

Outside of work Jenna loves spending time with her husband and two children, walking her dogs and enjoying the occasional cider in the local pub.
